Project Manager - Cleveland

Project Manager is the essential point of communication for the successful execution of projects at Vincent Lighting Systems.  Working closely with the sales department, Project Managers are responsible from the beginning of a project, assisting with estimation, soliciting vendor quotations, and assisting with preparing proposals.  After receipt of order, project management becomes the primary point of communication starting with preparing and delivering submittal drawings, to ensure proper installation of equipment.  Constant communication with vendors and customers is required to ensure on time delivery of products, and to answer technical questions.  An ideal candidate for this position, will have excellent time management, multi-tasking, communication and issue resolution skills.  They will also be well versed in a wide range of theatrical equipment and vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist sales team with project development.  This includes, but is not limited to, assembling preliminary bill of materials, budgets, control risers, specifications, photometric renderings, and equipment layouts.

Estimation of public bid projects, including coordination with rigging team.

Provide technical knowledge to electrical contractors, distributors, and other customers to ensure correct installation of supplied products.

Processing of orders to include entry of jobs, creation of purchased orders, and coordination of information with finance team to ensure timely, accurate inventory controls, and billings.

Coordinate submittal drawing process on projects.  This includes ordering, receiving, and compiling of vendor submittals along with the creation of VLS additional drawings as required per project.

Coordinate delivery of materials to customer.

Maintain project tracking, forecasting, and accurate contacts throughout the project.

Coordinate onsite professional services for commissioning and other project start up services.

Close out projects as necessary, including confirmation of all billings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranty letters, as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No supervisory responsibilities

Travel Requirement:

  • This position requires constructions site visits to meet with contractors and vendors.  While these are often single day trips, some overnight trips may be required from time to time.  Overall time out of office is less than 20%.

Qualifications and Education:

Degree in technical theatre, project management, construction management, or related field or commensurate experience in a related industry

Ideal Candidate will be a self-starter, flexible, well organized, and able to manage attention to small details.

Experience with theatrical power systems, controls, and fixtures is required.

Experience with Office365, AutoCad, and Photometric Rendering software is desired.
