Regional Operations Manager

The Regional Operations Manager is the hub for all rental, production, and rigging operations in our Pittsburgh-based facility. This management role is designed to bring multiple teams together for profitable and effective results from the company. Success in this role is an individual who not only can complete tasks but more importantly, to hire, lead, motivate and hold accountable a team to complete the operational needs of the facility. The regional operations manager takes direction from the Director of Operations and while works closely with the regional Account Executive (sales), does not report nor takes direction from sales. The Regional Operations Manager should also have a good rapport with the local entertainment technician community and is able to develop freelance labor and mobilize them as needed.

Reports to: Director of Operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for all shop operations, process, and asset management
  • Leads manages and holds accountable all direct reports
  • Oversees the financial health of operations in their assigned region(s)
  • Ensures that all assets are maintained, staged, pulled, and stored appropriately
  • Develops and maintains freelance labor pool
  • Ensures that rigging department’s needs are being met with inventory prepped and internal manufacturing completed
  • Supports rigging departments operations as needed through delegation of the shop and freelance labor
  • Schedules all labor for warehouse operations and freelance technicians
  • Supports Director of Operations with building maintenance, IT, and other needs
  • Manages a fleet of vehicles assigned to the region including all DOT compliance, safety, and maintenance
  • Collaborates with other Regional Operations Managers throughout the company to achieve successful outcomes
  • Works with subrental partners and third-party logistics companies as needed
  • Completes and is accountable for all reporting as assigned
  • Leads weekly regional operational team meetings and participates in company operational team meetings
  • Participates in annual planning process and activities
  • Is a member of the asset management team
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commiserate work experience in the entertainment field or warehouse operations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office365 applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to lead, manage and hold others accountable while creating a positive team environment
  • Experience with rental management software (IntelliEvent preferred)
  • General knowledge of theatrical and entertainment products and services
  • Good customer service skills
