The Production Manager is the hub for all productions at VLS. This team member works with the account executive to plan and provide quotations on projects and provide direction and management for all aspects of productions for VLS clients. The Production Manager is responsible for managing our crews on the job site and working with our Operations Team to manage elements of the workforce in the VLS shop while preparing for a production.


  • Works alongside Account Executive
  • Manage the scope, timeframe, and budget of each production
  • Source subrentals/subcontractors as needed
  • Management of the production from planning through execution
  • Working with operations manager to plan all aspects of production, including warehouse and job site operations
  • Event production including lighting and production design
  • Drafting and documentation of production elements
  • Oversee multiple projects at once

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
  • Effective professional communications skills
  • IntelliEvent and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Lighting programming experience (GrandMA/Hog)
  • Well organized and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to manage crews at all levels of experience
  • BA/BFA preferred but not required
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required
  • Must possess, or be physically fit to obtain, a Medical Card and meet DOT requirements for driving a commercial motor vehicle
